Plans for another festival new life was short lived. No Future Festival seems possible. But if you are
interested contact me ahitchcock3434@charter.net
This is Not a complain it is just
life. My life savings was spent on the 2006 Good time! Do Not become concerned for me, think about this. Many people have
spent $20,000 on a week of Alaskan Cruise. They go and have fun. They take a few pictures. Have a few memories and consider
it money well spent. I stayed at home for my week of fun. I made a bunch of great friends. I heard the choicest line up of
musicians ever. I have a super scrapbook of memories. The money was well spent! Maybe someday enough people will realize that
what we had was good and it will be repeated. If you were here in 2006, you know it was unique! As for me, I had a Great Time.
I have NO Regrets! I hope to see you at a future festival in another of America's Super cities. ....I remain, "Harmonically
Yours and in Sweet A..chord..et" Addison Hitchcock!
Thanks to all who attended The Birmingham
Harmonica Festival in '06 It was truly a great mix of the music of the south. The "music of the south" does
not mean just one style but every musical style created or nurtured by southerners.
In 2006 we met a lot
of fantastic people and heard a lot of great music but we are Not planning any Future Festivals.
The Heart of the South Harmonica Music Festival is sponsored by the Shelby Harmonica Players Society.
SHARPS was born in 1991 as an offspring of the Harmonicas of Alabama. Thirty miles between
the meeting places was the only clear distinction. The members of both clubs as well as many others who love harmonica music
will be your hosts in Birmingham.
